Michael Harris first opened the practice doors at 25 Earlsdon Street on 3rd June 1982, with a vision to help the people of Earlsdon see well and look great too. Michael wanted to bring a dedicated, tailored approach to eye care to the heart of Earlsdon, offering a personal level of service far removed from the one-size-fits-all approach of city centre chains, along with a distinctive and carefully-selected range of eyewear to suit the unique needs of each patient.
This ethos remains at the core of everything we do to this day. We’ve built a reputation as one of Coventry’s most trusted opticians. We constantly invest in the latest technology and talent, and are proud to be able to provide the best in eyecare for the whole family. After more than three decades in Earlsdon, many entire families trust Michael Harris Opticians to look after their eyecare needs.
A passionate and pioneering member of the local medical community, Michael also worked at the Hospital Eye Service for many years and has sat on the Local Optometric Committee for almost four decades. Michael is also an active member of the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers, a member of the 41 Club in Kenilworth and a former member of the Coventry Mercia Round Table.
